A home invasion was reported by a female resident of Rush Point Drive, Fish Lake Township, about 10:20 p.m. June 26.

Authorities were advised the woman, 46, was home alone and heard someone knocking at her door but did not answer due to the late hour. The door was broken down by two white males, who rushed the homeowner, knocked her to the floor and discharged cans of WD-40 onto her person. The two male suspects took nothing and fled.

Investigators think the incident may have been a foiled burglary, with the suspects believing nobody was home because there was no answer at the door.

The car they drove off in is possibly a Sunfire or smaller compact passenger car and possibly copper in color. One male had a dark mustache, otherwise they were of average height and weight, the victim said.

A Savage man faces charges he broke into a Burnsville home through the kitchen window on Monday and caused a nine-month-old child to fall and hit her head.

The Dakota County Attorney's office charged Abdiaziz Bashir Abdikadir, 21, with first-degree burglary and terroristic threats, both felonies, and fifth-degree assault, a misdemeanor.

According to charges, a woman watching three children in the home heard a noise in the kitchen and saw Abdikadir entering through the window. She ran to get the baby out of the way, and Abdikadir "pushed the nine-month-old, causing the child to fall and hit her head," read charges.

He then told the woman he was going to kill her, according to the complaint against him.
