BROOKLYN CENTER, Minn. -- Authorities are investigating after eight people were bound and robbed early Monday morning inside a Brooklyn Center home.

Around 4 a.m. Monday morning, four suspects entered an apartment on the 6600 block of Humboldt Avenue, duct taped eight people inside the residence and emptied their pockets.

They also stole a tan 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe with the Minnesota license plate number PNY 459.

Brooklyn Center police responded to the scene after one of the victims ran to the police department around 6 a.m.

Three of the four suspects were caring semi-automatic handguns. They are described as three black males and one black female. Police do not think this was a random act.

Authorities are still searching for the suspects.

Anyone with information is asked contact the Brooklyn Center Police.

Scary. Bound and helpless is not a situation I want to be in.

Update:
Reynolds tells 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS what makes the home invasion more disturbing, is the fact their police department is approximately 100 feet away from the apartment.
