A St. Paul couple heard the sound of someone in their home in the middle of the night and found a drunk, naked stranger, police said.
After the couple checked around their house in the 1700 block of West Minnehaha Avenue and determined it was not their adult daughter they had heard, they found the man in a bathroom area, said Sgt. Paul Schnell, police spokesman. He had taken his clothes off — they were found wet — and left them by the front door, Schnell said.
Police were called about the disturbance at 3:51 a.m. Saturday. Officers noted the man appeared disoriented and, when they tested him for alcohol, he had a high blood-alcohol concentration, Schnell said.
The man, identified as Theodore Gary Lundeen, 22, "indicated he did not have any idea of where he was or how he got there," Schnell said. Lundeen, of St. Paul, lives about 2 1/2 miles away.
Neither the couple nor their daughter knew Lundeen, Schnell said.
Police cited Lundeen for trespassing and booked him into the Ramsey County jail.
I'm glad Lundeen wasn't a violent criminal.
